FragPunk Rolls Out March 4 Patch With Gameplay Fixes and Balance Changes

FragPunk’s March 4 patch brings a range of gameplay fixes, balance tweaks, and system improvements, as Bad Guitar Studio continues to listen to player feedback and work on making the shooter a smoother, more balanced experience.

March 5, 2026 — Developer Bad Guitar Studio and publisher NetEase have released a new patch for FragPunk, introducing gameplay fixes, balance adjustments, and system improvements aimed at refining the fast-paced shooter’s overall experience.

The update, deployed on March 4, was implemented without server downtime, allowing players to continue playing while the patch rolled out. The developers noted that the changes are part of their ongoing effort to improve match balance and address feedback from the community.

FOCUS ON GAMEPLAY STABILITY

One of the key highlights of the update is a series of fixes designed to improve gameplay stability and performance. The patch addresses various in-game bugs and technical issues that players encountered during matches.

Developers also improved certain combat indicators, allowing players to more easily see the health status of opponents after dealing damage. This change is intended to make firefights clearer and help players make faster tactical decisions during intense engagements.

ADJUSTMENT TO CARDS AND GAME SYSTEMS

A defining feature of FragPunk is its Shard Card system, which introduces gameplay modifiers that can dramatically change the rules of each round. In this update, several cards were adjusted to improve balance across matches.

According to the developers, the adjustments aim to ensure that no single card combination becomes overly dominant while maintaining the unpredictable gameplay the system is known for Improvements to Modes and Progression

This shows that some card combinations are dominant which would determine the round for the team that had it.

The update also includes refinements to various game modes and progression systems. Certain features tied to character progression and passive perks have been adjusted to provide a smoother experience as players unlock new abilities.

In addition, improvements were made to special modes such as Toy Front Line’s Endless Mode, where players face waves of enemies while collecting random cards and buffs.

ONGOING LIVE-SERVICE UPDATES

Since its launch, FragPunk has operated under a live-service model, with regular updates delivering fixes, balance changes, and new content. The March 4 patch continues that trend as the developers work to keep the competitive shooter balanced and engaging.

The studio also indicated that additional updates and seasonal content are expected in the coming months as they continue expanding the game.
