What’s new
New Parasite (Knossos)
A fast, aggressive character who can charge through enemies and buff teammates. More systems & features
- New Shard Card categories (like melee + special skill cards), Deck presets & tutorials

Gameplay changes
Outbreak mode = more skill, less chaos
Parasites have less HP → easier to kill, Humans start stronger (more Shard Points) Infection is less predictable.
Before, if you were a parasite, you could kind of just run at people and win fights.
Now?
You die faster, Humans are stronger early, Things are less random
How it changes Player how to play:
Early rounds favor humans much more Parasite wins now rely on coordination + timing, not brute force “Rush and overwhelm” is weaker; ambush + mobility is stronger
Shard Cards overhaul
Lots of cards removed, especially in deathmatch-style modes, Many cards rebalanced or redesigned, New effects added (movement boosts, invisibility, healing tweaks, etc.).
How it changes Players how to play:
No more “stack broken combos and win” You need balanced builds, not just max damage Utility (movement, stealth, sustain) is now way more valuable
Winning builds now:
Mobility + survive ability > raw damage stacking
Flexible decks > niche gimmicks
Lower-cost, consistent cards > high-risk expensive ones
Parasite play style redefined (Knossos impact)
The new Parasite (Knossos) is Fast, Aggressive, Team-buff oriented
How it changes Players how to play:
Parasites now need team synergy Dive comps (fast engages) become viable Lone parasite play is weaker

Weapons – more viable diversity
Weapon buffs (fire rate, mag size, etc.) mean:
Less reliance on a few “best guns”, More loadout variety is viable, Sustained DPS weapons become stronger vs burst

This update is a major overhaul of FragPunk, adding the fast, aggressive Parasite Knossos and expanding systems with new Shard Card categories, deck presets, and improved tutorials. Players can queue for multiple modes, share custom weapon loadouts, and record smoother, higher-quality highlights. The update streamlines the UI, expands crosshair options, and makes the Battle Pass grant XP steadily based on time played instead of just performance.
Outbreak mode was reworked for fairer, less random matches, with weaker parasites, stronger human starts, and more balanced infection. Shard Cards were trimmed or reworked to remove overpowered combos, and Deathmatch now caps total build strength instead of card count. Weapons were rebalanced, and select character abilities were nerfed to reduce their dominance.
The update also includes New free Rewards: It contains the the vicious, Fever, Meat Maker, Clampdown, and Blitzer known as Youthful Years.

In addition: It will include skins for Lancers: like Wildstyle – ACME TODAY, Zephyr – FIELD SECURITY, and Wind Walker – DATA STREAM.

Maps and modes received fixes to geometry, cover, and glitches, with pacing tweaks like tougher Chaos Clash overtime. Stability and overall game feel were improved, though older replays are no longer compatible. Overall, the changes make the game cleaner, fairer, and more consistent, reducing randomness and overpowered mechanics.
With the latest patch now live, FragPunk continues to grow with regular updates and improvements shaped by player feedback. More tweaks, fixes, and new content are expected to arrive in future updates as the game keeps evolving.
